Solo guitar single released in 2024, the first of a series of laments for electric guitar.
This song happened almost spontaneously, at the beginning of the year. It’s a brutal portrait of what I was feeling, unadorned. It is hope that tries to persist during the war only to be shattered at the end. It’s a worthless lament, because there are situations in the world that will never change. Probably, I’ll end up doing a few other laments for solo guitar, perhaps the most intimate works I’ve ever done, as a way of externalizing unspoken feelings. I hope these compositions resonate with a few of you.
