Universo Relativo RELEASES “Ao Vivo”

Ao Vivo is the new live album by the brazilian light-hearted, pop-rock band Universo Relativo.

Released in April/2020, it contains a full performance recorded live, praised for songs that mix brazilian roots such as the viola caipira with a touch of modern popular music, hints of electric guitar and harmonica.

I had the pleasure of recording additional instruments (such as percussion and keyboards) and voices as well as mixing and mastering the whole album.

The album also features Artur de Farias (bass), Giuliano Bonetti(voices), Julio Zampieri (drums) and Tassio Rossi (guitars), plus guests Vitor Bonine (keyboards) and Bruno Marques (audio engineer).

New video for Silvagunner

Michael Garrett Steele contacted me to collab with him on this great arrangement for the SilvaGunner: King for Another Day tournament. It was a joy to mess with my old samples and create 80’s style electronic drums for this fantastic city pop tune! Plus, there’s also an awesome team of musicians here. Check it out:

John Robert Matz – trumpet
Daniel Romberger – trombone
Ale Jandro – bass
Tiago Rodrigues – guitar
Fredrik Häthén – mixing

“Kinetic Disturbances” live

Multi-instrumentalist Matheus Manente has just released a new live video of the song “Kinetic Disturbances”, recorded in São Paulo – Brazil. This release marks the fifth anniversary of his album “Illusions Dimension”, inspired by the power of music to make people think, question the world and evolve.

“Act celebrates the 5th anniversary of the album Illusions Dimension

Originally released in 2014, the song’s concept deals with philosophical struggles. Despite having several layers of instruments in its studio version, it was reduced to its essence and performed in a power-trio format, with Leandro Fonseca on bass and Leo Miyata on drums. Thus, the musicians seek to explore new tones, refusing the over-processed sound that became part of modern music.

Matheus Manente already has vast experience in experimental music, recording for worldwide musicians and accumulating 10+ years of music production. “Kinetic Disturbances” is an ode to the 70s progressive rock classics dressed as modern metal.
